How and when do we begin talking with our children about their disability or diagnosis? In this month’s Parent Support Network, we’ll explore how these conversations can look different at various ages and stages—and how we can approach them with honesty, care, and respect. We’ll talk about the importance of privacy, self-advocacy, and giving children choice in how and when their story is shared. While we’ll highlight a few helpful books and resources, the heart of this session will be hearing from one another—sharing perspectives, struggles, and what’s worked in our own families. As always, we’ll close with time to check in and connect.
